A little story about Brown Sugared Love
Hi, I’m Debra, the baker and artist behind Brown Sugared Love. I am a mum to three beautiful little children – my beautiful daughter and twin boys.
Here at BSL, we are a specialty cake business creating custom designed buttercream wedding and event cakes, cupcakes and cookies hand crafted by me. Our bespoke designs are lovingly baked fresh, and we use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients. We pride ourselves on quality, including both design and taste.
I am a self-taught cake baker, designer and decorator and rediscovered my love of baking shortly after completing my uni degree and experimenting for friends, but it was probably watching my grandmother make cakes when I was little that birthed the love I have for it now.
Brown Sugared Love was born in 2016, sparked from the joy and passion I found in baking and in being able to be a part of people’s special days, no matter the occasion. What started out as a hobby is now my dream career, growing my passion for bespoke cakes for weddings and special events.
